Trained in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
BScPT
Andrea has been a physiotherapist for over twenty years. She takes a very thorough and caring approach in her assessments and treatments, in order to connect with her clients. She takes the time to listen to them and understand how their function has been affected by their symptoms. Using a trauma-informed approach, she works together with her clients to help them achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Andrea graduated in 2003 with her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. Following graduation, she worked in private practice with a focus on orthopaedics. Through the years, she developed a passion for pelvic health and began expanding her knowledge in this area of physiotherapy.
Andrea has taken post-graduate pelvic health courses in pelvic pain and dysfunction, female urinary incontinence, male pelvic health, trans and gender-diverse pelvic health, dyspareunia, perinatal care, along with c-section considerations. In addition to pelvic health courses, she has also taken courses in acupuncture, movement dysfunction, manual therapy, and those focusing on exercise therapy.
In her spare time, Andrea enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. She enjoys walking in nature, baking, and talking about recipes and food in general.
